Maintain your garden all year round: the Lavanda calendar
Share
Many people think that gardening only requires maintenance in spring and summer. In reality, each season has its own specific tasks, essential for maintaining a beautiful, healthy, and sustainable garden. At Lavanda Paysage , we have designed an annual calendar that allows you to spread garden care throughout the year, avoiding spring overload and enjoying a harmonious exterior in all seasons.
January – February: Prepare and protect
Winter is the ideal time for major pruning work (pruning, restructuring shrubs) and for protecting plantations.
It is also the time for winter treatments (white oils, preventatives against scale insects and aphids), and for laying mulches to preserve the soil.
March: The awakening of the garden
With the arrival of spring, the garden wakes up. We prune the olive and fruit trees , scarify the lawns and apply the first fertilizers .
This is also the period for monitoring the first diseases and parasites (aphids, rusts) which require rapid intervention.
April – June: High season
The warmer weather means intense growth. It's time for routine pruning of hedges and shrubs , weeding , setting up automatic watering systems and planting ornamental plants .
We also provide targeted phytosanitary treatments (rose bushes, laurels, pyracanthas) to keep the plants in full health.
July – August: Surveillance and sobriety
In summer, the emphasis is on water management : controlling automatic watering, checking drip irrigation, limiting mowing.
We also intervene to combat scale insects, box tree moths and processionary moths . For second homes, we offer surveillance and green guard contracts , so that everything remains impeccable during the holidays.
September – October: Planting time
It's the ideal season for planting trees and shrubs, re-laying lawns, enriching soils and preparing flowerbeds.
We also carry out post-summer pruning and autumn treatments against fungal diseases (mildew, fusarium, rust).
All while installing autumn mulches to protect the soil.
November – December: Put the garden to rest
At the end of the year, it's time for large pruning (cypress, mulberry, laurel), leaf collection and basic fertilization to prepare the soil for the following season.
We finish with preventive winter treatments and final protections so that the garden gets through the cold season in the best possible conditions.
A beautiful and healthy garden, 12 months a year
With this calendar, Lavanda Paysage supports you throughout the year, adapting interventions to the real needs of the garden and local climatic conditions.
Result: a harmonious exterior, less stress for the owner and regular maintenance which adds lasting value to your plant heritage.
